Sox get two!

KANSAS CITY - Good start for the Sox in this 97-degree heat. They scored twice in the first off Gil Meche.

Tonight's leadoff man, J.D. Drew, walked and moved to third on Dustin Pedroia's double to right field against the fence. David Ortiz got the first run in with a grounder to first and Kevin Youkilis doubled to the right-field corner to knock in the second.
