It took 7 1/3 innings for the Rangers to score on Jon Lester. Ian Kinsler hit a solo home run in the eighth, 8-1.

After giving up singles to Young and Jason Ellison, Lester leaves the game, relieved by Mike Timlin. Lester threw 108 pitches, 76 for strikes, giving up seven hits.
