Tek makes history

BALTIMORE - Jason Varitek's second inning homer was his 10th and he's now the first Red Sox catcher to have hit 10 or more homers in 9 seasons. Carlton Fisk did it in 8 with the Red Sox.

Varitek has hit homers in consecutive games for the first time since Sept. 21-22 of last year. The Sox lead this 3-0.
