That's a wrap
Papelbon strikes out Bradley, swinging, to start the ninth.
Rangers get one after Byrd reaches on Youkilis's fielding error at third, and pinch hitter Brandon Boggs knocks him in with a double to center.
Papelbon then gets Laird to fly out to right field, and Davis flied out to Pedroia.
19-17, Red Sox. More stats than I can count.
Winner is Okajima, loser is Francisco. Papelbon gets the save.

Starting Zink in this situation was a big mistake...no experience and the knuckleball for a debut were a BAAAAD combo...Lavern would have been the better bet, as he has experience under his belt...but we grind it out and Oki gets a B-I-G win...and as background they pull a pretty good deal for Byrd...but it's obvious this bullpen needs help in a major way or we're cooked.
