Varitek breaking out?

TORONTO - Jason Varitek has homered in three consecutive games after a sixth-inning solo shot to give the Sox a 6-4 lead over the Blue Jays. Varitek has also singled and walked and has now hit safely in five straight games and is 7 for 16.

Varitek's .218 average entering the game was the third lowest in the majors with a minimum of 300 at-bats.
