  1. Manny was an awesome hitter, however all the bs you had to endure was not worth it in the long run, His little show of defiance and petulance when facing Mariano Rivera was indicative of how he felt about his team and how he was going to play it the rest of the season.

  1. A mans word should be his bond. The respect the Sox owed Manny was represented in and by the 168 million contract that they showered him with. Accordingly, his obligation to perform was implied to both the Red Sox organization, his team members, the fan base and the storied history of the Red Sox players who came before him. His childish and destructive actions only depict the mind set of a self centered greedy baseball player who believed he was above all others in the game that came before him, and of those with whom he shared a bond with.

I would have driven him myself to any other ball club as he was less of a star in the end, and certainly less of a person that deserved to wear the Red Sox uniform. We welcome a team player by the name of Bay and wish him well.

  1. Well .......... Its over !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We loved Manny for all the things he did " right " , but he then drove us up the wall at times . Manny also knew when " enough was enough " , and would shut his damn big mouth just in time to not put himself out of " title town " ! This time however , his selfish attitude and " big " mouth took him too far ! Especially his lame excuse that the BoSox did this to Nomah` and Petey !
Nomah ` and Petey ` both made their beds " out of Beantown " ! We all were very
shocked and said " oh no " Bad Move Theo " when they left . But , when the smoke cleared , Theo looked genius . I believe this move will put us back in the series !

Bye Manny ! Don't let the Green Monster door hit you in the ASS on the way out !

  1. What was Tito saying? Sounded like an old guy telling a story that didn't go anywhere - nothing more than random, babbling platitudes.

Whatever, I bet he feels good about not being Manny's sock puppet anymore.

  1. Sure, I was excited to get Manny's signature on my championship cap at the Rolling Rally in '04, but not as much as if I'd have gotten Ortiz' or Schillings'. Instead of encasing or storing that cap away, I actually started wearing it like any other as the marker wore off. What's the real value, I'd often ask myself? And 'self would answer, it's not like God signed it; just some guy who thinks he is a god.

Now the criminal's cap is in the trash. That's right: let this same Mr. Ramirez shove your father, mother, anyone you love more than baseball (if there is anyone) to the ground, let alone an elderly person, and see how fast you forget his athlete status - until you're contemplating how much to sue him for. L.A. got's a new 99, but he's no Gretzky - just another version of the schoolyard and workplace bullies who are spoiled or propped up, disconnected, and take their lack of true self-worth out on others. Pitifully, that's something Scott Boras or Joe Torre will never give this guy.

Thank you, Sox "managment." It's about darn time.

  1. He helped win 2 World Series, an MVP in 04, arguably the best hitter of his time, a Fan favorite...Remember when we traded another great hitter...
