Farmer's tans in the bleachers. Battling the traffic. Reminding Hank who's boss.

Those are just three of 456 reasons listed by the Red Sox in an ad in today's Boston Globe that celebrates the record-breaking sellout at Fenway Park.

Check out all 456 reasons listed in the ad here.

Also, today's Globe ran another graphic on the sellout streak. Here are some numbers from the first 455 sellouts:

  1. Very nice however, if you factor in the seating capacity of Fenway compared with Cleveland, the sox would have to sell out another full season to match the Indian's numbers.

  1. Tiny 1912 park is sold out out for 456 games even though Park was built when population was one third present population and autos were not available. Park should have a capacity of three times 38,000 or 114,000 for streak to mean anything, Keep seats scarce so prices can be maximized is present mantra to avoid having to spend money on a new ballpark.
There is a reason Bosox fans travel to Baltimore for Sox games and it is tickets are available, park is a great experience and ticket/food prices are reasonable. These fans are not allowed to attend at Fenway Park. Outcasts!

  1. The upper management could REALLY thank us, by offering free tickets to one home game a year (say, 10,000 seats at one Yankees game drawn at random from all citizens within the Boston city limits), rather than some $1K, full page add in the Globe. C'mon, Is this really a "Thank You"? I love the Sox as much as anyone, but this "gesture" is not worthy of the prices that Fans absorb for the Game (and in our case, the Team) we love.

  1. It would be nice if they could build a bigger-than-life-size replica of Fenway Park...

  1. Is the ERA of 4.24 measuring the Red Sox Pitching or all the runs scored at Fenway? Seems pretty low for the second option.

  1. it's great to have sold out 456 games.

it's lamentable that the park isn't big enough to accommodate the number of fans who would show up each and every day if their were more capacity.

but it's fenway f'n park, so quit your complaining...it's the most storied, quirky, unique, amazing park in baseball....and you fairweathers who've come on since '04 need to get over its limitations.

    here's to the next 456.

  1. It is laughable that chowderheads actually think they accomplished something. 6,000 less seats than Cleveland. Boston has a population TWICE the size of Cleveland. Boston also draws from NH and CT. Cleveland is surrounded by Michigan (Detroit) and Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh) as well as Cincinnati to the south. Boston has a way better economy and employment rate than Cleveland. Where were all these sellouts BEFORE this hot streak? With that small stadium and large market, you should be riding a sellout streak from the 40s! Pathetic.
