Tarp off; 8:35 projected

Posted by Adam Kilgore, Globe Staff September 26, 2008 07:49 PM

The rain has ceased (for now) and they are pulling the tarp back off the field. The revised time for first pitch "barring anymore rain" is 8:35 p.m.

  1. Adam -- do you have some salt and pepper ready for your media guide? Here's a helpful hint for the future, don't use weather.com for your local boston forecasts. Would you use USA Today for Red Sox coverage? It's as vanilla as it gets.

You should be using WHDH.com or WBZ.com....or make your own determinations from a radar. You would have seen the break in the rain coming!

  1. Unlike Adam, I think they will play tonight.
That being said, how late could they start the game?

  1. Might need some ketchup along with the salt and pepper for the guide. Still a yucky day to be at the ballpark though. Must say I have tix but I wasn't going to head down to watch it in this weather

  1. Yeah, I saw the break the Sox mgmt. saw, but just because there's a break doesn't mean they should play on a field that's taken on 2 in. of rain today.
