The Sox trail by two games

Posted by Adam Kilgore, Globe Staff September 7, 2008 03:49 PM

The Rays just lost, 1-0, to Toronto, cutting their lead over the Red Sox to two games. If the Red Sox win today, they could be in first place, on their own volition, by the end of Tuesday night.

The Red Sox still lead in Texas, 2-0. Paul Byrd is trying to work out of a two-out, first-and-third jam.
