Voodoo George?
So according to the beacon of truth that is Wikipedia, former Blue Jays manager John Gibbons calls Joe Inglett "Voodoo Joe" because whenever the second baseman was about to go down down to the minors, someone on the major league roster would get hurt, making room for Inglett to stay.
Boston has this thing for reversing curses.
Take George Kotarras. A wild pitch with a weird hop put him on base in his first major league plate appearance despite the fact that he struck out. Then as Coco Crisp grounded to short for what looked like a sure 6-4-3 double play.
Thing is "Voodoo Joe" is the one making the turn, and instead of making it a routine one, Inglett tries to bare-hand it. He bobbled it. Everybody's safe. Burnett gets the hook. Kottaras moves over to third on a Jacoby Ellsbury grounder.
He scores his first major league run (unearned obviously) on Kevin Cash's pop fly to right field. Not bad considering he wasn't supposed to be on base in the first place.
Cash is coming in to play third. Chris Carter is in at left.

I thought that you were predicting that both the Sox and Yankees would win! Wrong on both counts!
Um...my head hurts now.
