Weather watching

Posted by Steve Silva, Boston.com Staff September 9, 2008 01:34 PM

If the current conditions are any indication, it could be a wet night at Fenway Park.

It's raining in Boston and the National Weather Service calls for more showers this afternoon and this evening. Thunderstorms are in the forecast and some storms could be severe, with large hail, damaging winds, and heavy rain.

For tonight, there's a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 10 p.m. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.

Tonight's Sox-Rays game is scheduled to start on time but stay tuned here for more weather updates and the latest news from the Globe's Nancy Marrapese-Burrell, who will be at Fenway Park a bit later this afternoon.
