A little heated
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Rays reliever Grant Balfour got under the skin of White Sox shortstop Orlando Cabrera in the seventh. Cabrera appeared to think Balfour was too demonstrative after he struck out Juan Uribe and Cabrera with the bases loaded to end the inning.
Cabrera was muttering and Rays catcher Dioner Navarro got in front of him to prevent any further developments. But Balfour barked at Cabrera as he left the mound. It also seems as though a Rays coach might have been yelling a few things over at the White Sox bench.
Home plate umpire Joe West went over the Joe Maddon to speak to him about keeping things under control.

Is it wrong to hope that if Chicago can't beat them, they might subject quite of few of the key Rays to suspensions that might just coincide with the AL Championship series?
The Rays are a bunch of jack[butts]. I really don't like the way Maddon seems to encourage them acting like teenage thugs.
Sounds like someone above is jealous. Cabrera was way out of line by kicking dirt at Balfour - what a bush league move. If anyone is a thug here, it's OC.
Cinco_Ocho: Ever been to Tampa? Maddon doesn't have to encourage them, there's nothing but crack smoking teenage thugs down here.
Is that a real name? Grant Balfour?
Is it pronounced "grant ball four" ?
Tough name for a pitcher.
