Okajima warming, Papelbon next?

Posted by Tony Massarotti, Globe Staff October 2, 2008 12:01 AM

The Red Sox are now batting in the top of the seventh, but Jon Lester is at 100 pitches and Hideki Okajima is now warming up. Lester may very well start the seventh, but with an off-day tomorrow, don't be surprised if Terry Francona goes from Lester to Okajima to Papelbon in the final three innings. The bullpen can be stretched.

  1. They should not remove lester. Let him pitch at least one more inning.
