-- Daisuke Matsuzaka, SP
Matsuzaka lost his only career start against the Angels July 28 at Fenway Park. He allowed six runs on seven hits and two walks in five innings. Matsuzaka has never pitched at Angel Stadium.

CORA BETTER HAVE SOME GOOD NUMBERS AGAINST SANTANA. OTHERWISE HE SHOULD NOT BE IN THE LINE UP. THE GUY CANNOT HIT, NOT TO MENTION HE HAS NO RANGE. WHY IS KOTSAY IN THE LINE UP? IS CASEY HURT?
"Matsuzaka has never pitched at Angel Stadium."
That's not true. Dice-K was the winning pitcher for Japan in a 6-1 victory of Mexico played at Angel Stadium on March 14, 2006 during the World Baseball Classic.

Wow, going with the 3rd string (4th?) 1B and good ol' quicksand there at Short.
Did we clinch the division last night? I forget.
Why don't we throw Dave Ross behind the plate while we're at it.
marcos you might not have noticed that Kotasy has consistantly hit Santana well and probalbly knows him the best after he played for oakland
Also, Kotsay's much more solid in the field than Casey. Remember Shaughnessy's suggestion that Ortiz would be more effective than Casey at first!
