The lineup, minus Lowell
Mike Lowell is out, J.D. Drew is in:
Red Sox
1. Jacoby Ellsbury, CF
2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B
3. David Ortiz, DH
4. Kevin Youkilis, 3B
5. J.D. Drew, RF
6. Jason Bay, LF
7. Mark Kotsay, 1B
8. Jed Lowrie, SS
9. Jason Varitek, C
-- Jon Lester, SP
More to come on Lowell, etc., soon . . .

That's great! But why the heck was lowell in last nights line up? He could barely walk!
As much as I like Mike, it's been equally painful watching him struggle in the field and at the plate.
This is the best line up the Red Sox can put out there.
Lowell shouldn't be playing right now, whether he wants to or not. While the media adores players who play through pain, if they're really injured they're hurting the team by playing anyways...
Where the hell is Casey, Kotsay can't touch the ball. Casey is a .300 hitter! JEEZ!!
This is the lineup I was hoping for...I applaud Lowell's grit and determination, but enough is enough. Youk at 3rd is just what the doctor ordered. Let's hope we end this series tonight, and one thing's for sure, we have the right pitcher taking the ball to make that hope a reality. And it wouldn't hurt if Pedroia turns it around, which I think will happen tonight, too. We will be watching and cheering from CA. for win #3 tonight! GO SOX!
Trying to figure out why Sean Casey can't get off the pine.
Where is Casey?
Casey is hitless & only has 4 AB versus Lackey. Kotsay has more AB against Lackey than anyone on the Red Sox. His .265 avg against Kotsay isn't great but at least he's seen everything he throws. Plus Kotsay has speed, something they want ... the Angels catchers aren't great throwers.
