  1. He is pitching game 7.
    Game 1: Daisuke Matsuzaka
    Game 2: Josh Beckett
    Game 3: Jon Lester
    Game 4: Tim Wakefield
    Game 5*: Daisuke Matsuzaka
    Game 6*: Josh Beckett
    Game 7*: Jon Lester

  1. Lester is the best pitcher! Why not use him first so he can goagain?

  1. This seems like the best plan to me too, though, I am more for the safety of an extra infielder/hitter than I am for a extra pitcher if that pitcher is Mike Timlin. I just think that Lopez wasn't used a lot and you could use Delcarmen like you did Masterson and vice versa in the ALDS and actually use Byrd and you would be fine for the World Series. But the comfort of knowing that there is someone else on the bench, because during Game 3 we only had Sean Casey on the bench and I imagine since a few of our games with the Rays went into extra innings we would need that position more.

  1. Let Tito be Tito, mind your business.

  1. Hope finishing second to the Rays and losing home field doesn't come back to haunt us. l do feel confident about the series, however I would feel much better about a scenario that enabled Wakefield to start a game at the Trop versus Fenway.

  1. mazz is a douchebag. he's got that ridiculous pose in his picture where his face might as well be a retarded deer staring into headlights. Then, in his videos, his hands are flying all over the place (Italian last name, I know), but this dude should stick to written press.

  1. I would have had Wake pitch at TB. His record there speaks for itself. He is great when he can pitch inside where the wind doesn't blow and where his back doesn't tighten up. Honestly Wake in cold windy October weather is a bad idea.

  1. Tito never could handle pitchers and this is simply another fiasco in the making. Wakefield is too unpredictable but I'll grant you seems much better in domes.

Since the Manager will predictably leave his pitchers on the mound too long, by the time the Rays have scored 6-8 runs in game 4, the series will be over.

    Dumb move

  1. What about Wake pitching in Tampa? Knuckle ball doesn't knuckle so well in the cold vs. a dome.

  1. I can understand how the stiller air of a dome might help, but wouldn't Wake's knuckle ball have more movement in colder air because it is denser?
