Ryan: Sox not going out without a fight
Mazz: Maddon 'penned the Rays' meltdown

I love you Amalie!!! Keep up the good work!
And ... Go SOX!!!!!!! Not ovah yet!!
9 = 8 9 outs away = 8 runs for the sox
Yesterday I said pitching would control the game, and the surprising lack of it in the TB bullpen allowed us to come back. Key to that effort was the bad throw from third that allowed Youk to reach 2nd. I think the key to overcoming the Rays is figuring out how to not be owned by TB starters. Maybe the ball Upton missed and the bad throw is a sign that the pressure can make TB blink. Keep the pressure on and lets see what happens. I guess the miracle I thought we needed came along.
I hate to be synical in these situations, but have another look at the half hearted attempt Gabe Gross makes at the makeable catch to end (or extend) the series. Could he have been worried about the wall? Not a chance, the hit wasn't that deep, and Gross was still 15+ ft from the warning track. Not the last we'll hear on this I'm sure...
Oh no! the pressure on Tampa. As Kevin Millar would say in this sitch: Don't let us win one.
Really?? Some sox are superstitious?? Wow, never would have thought. Thanks for the breaking news.
Hey Jonathan - You're good at being arrogant; you're great at doing the riverdance; you're magnificent at cheerleading; just wish you were a little better at pitching CLEAN INNINGS !!
The RAYS dominated 25 of the past 27 innings.The Sox are will be in the Ray tank when game 6 is done. The equipment manager better bring some extra bubblegum for Francona.
@BFoley: I think it was a half hearted attempt because the ball was well out of his reach, but maybe I'm remembering it wrong.
Is kotsay really unsung, if everyone who is asked or who watched the game says that he is the unsung hero so far? I think it's more like he's just one of the few players who hasn't sucked so far, and because outsiders don't know him they don't care when he's up.. but he's been pretty sung as far as WEEI and local blogs go
I'm a lifelong Bosox fan stuck in Flarida. (from Worcester) Me thinks Rays have everything to beat the Sox,, but Josh will be coached up by Dave and (I hope) will beat the Rays in the 6th game. There is nothing wrong with Jon Lester. He's a young lad and he will put on a show for everyone on Sunday. I will watch all 18 frames if I can. Go Boston Red Sox !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone notice that it was 7-0 in the 7th with 7 outs to go when the Sox scored the 7 to tie it? The Hero? #7 JD Drew. Guess is this one will go 7 games....
