Boras: Manny never comfortable in Boston
Unless he's entering from the visitor's clubhouse, Manny Ramirez is not going to come walking through that door at Fenway Park next year.
"Yes, Boston is out of the equation for Manny," agent Scott Boras confirmed today on the Dan Patrick radio show, when asked if the Red Sox were out of the mix for Manny Ramirez. Boras also said Manny was never comfortable living in the Boston area.
"Well certainly he was happy in Los Angeles, he was happy in Cleveland, and he's given me some other destinations where he believes he's going to be comfortable playing baseball," Boras said. "I'm not here to make a public record of it [possible destinations], but he's given me a list of teams." Boras would not comment on any other teams that may be involved in negotiations with the former Red Sox left fielder.
Boras was asked by Patrick whether he thought it was fair for teams to inquire about the experiences Manny had with the Red Sox in Boston.
"I think the totality of the circumstances [of Boston] are very fair to ask. ... Owners, when they talk to me about any player, they're going to want to know about a lot of factors," Boras said. "I think you have to address the Cleveland issue. And the Los Angeles issue. And the Boston issue about whenever you talk about Manny's career track...
"Manny again, after signing the contract, and again, I didn't represent him at the time, he was playing in Boston and he realized that he was not comfortable living in the city of Boston. He liked the organization, he liked his teammates, he certainly liked the success they had, but as far as living in the city of Boston, it was a place that he just really preferred to live in a different environment."
Patrick asked Boras why Manny didn't consider moving out into the suburbs like other New England professional athletes have done.
"I think he explored that [moving to the suburbs] and he did not find the process to be much different," Boras said. "It was just basically that the Boston community for Manny was something that he was just not comfortable with. He happens to be comfortable in the suburbs of Cleveland, or in the suburbs of Los Angeles, but that's just an individual appraisal on his part. He felt that way for years. He voiced it to management and certainly that was the reasoning behind his decision."

Boras is a complete ass. Ask Manny why took the money then.
I think there's a mistake in the publishing of this post. The headline should be "Boras does best to destroy what's left of Manny's reputation." Get one of your techies to look into it.
Well, what a shame. I feel like I've failed Manny. Can't have offense people killed or buildings demolished to make him feel better?
I'm sure for 100 mil Manny would be comfortable in Boston. Well at least for the 1st 6 months.
This is such a crock of BS. I don't believe a word that comes out of Scott Bor ASS's mouth now and I certainly don't believe it and how it pertains to the future of this organization. He is a money hungry scum bag who has zero interest in his clients well being and is motivated solely by his own greed and self interest. Also, Manny doesn't play in Boston anymore and as much as I loved him when he was here and still think of him as one of my all time favorites. This is a Boston page and we're over reading about Manny and his adventures. He's not going to play here again and that's fine. He helped bring us 2 World Titles and the fanbase is grateful but it is time to move on and stop reading about Manny on this website
Same tired comments from Manny. He was never too uncomfortable to take the $160 million, though. Stay in LA, Manny. Your idiocy will fit right in with all of the Hollywood freaks! No one will be able to tell the difference.
Who would think Manny would even be considered by the Sox? Having spent over $7 million to send Manny to LA, I assume that Manny would be "out of the equation" for Boston! I'm sorry he didn't enjoy living in my favorite city, but that was not an excuse for his unprofessional behavior this past season. He was correct that "we didn't deserve him" - no fans or teammates "deserve" such disrespect. Enough about Manny, already.
who cares
I think any "kidult" or any bumpkin might be uncomfortable in Boston.
What a freakin' baby.
I can understand this. Much more comfort in larger Latin populations like LA, NYC or Shaker Heights, OH. Boston's Latin Quarter is hard to find...It's on the Avenue Louis Pasteur near the hospitals. Now if Manny spent any serious time on the DL...or brought his grandmother to Boston for her medical care, maybe he would have been more familiar with Boston Latin (sounds like a TV pilot).
Good.I wasn't comfortable watching this joke pull his stupid stunts during his stay. Manny being Manny? No, Manny being a self absorbed creep who no one rely on.
Too much intellect in New England for manny to handle. God forbid we choose to examine his shortcomings. He should fit right into the L.A. crowd. What's the over/under on how many cameos he has?
Who cares?
I'm sure it was terribly difficult for Manny to be comfortable in his multi-million dollar condo at the Ritz...
He had a strip club right around the corner from him in Boston. He seemed pretty comfortable in strip clubs.
Ooooh, so now its the community and city of Boston that didn't suit him. Was that Nomar's problem too? Pick a story and stick with it.
With statements like those, you can pretty much bet that Manny won't be comfortable here ever again. What a tool.
boras is ruin baseball, they should banned this a-hole from baseball.period!
p.s: dont gave us that crap ,man...manny is a great hitter, not a great teammate..is about the team ,not him.
manny deserve to play like in kansas city or pittsburg, maybe like that you dont reach the post season ,for a few!jerk
your famous .get it over with ..dont play baseball if you dont want people to annoyed you..simple ..dumb dumb
I know Manny is going to catch a lot of grief for these comments made by Boras but I actually understand what he's getting at here. Obviously one should be willing to put up with most anything for the kind of money Manny was paid here, but fans in Boston are far, far worse about bothering athletes off the field than fans in other cities. I can understand why he would feel uncomfortable when people bother him asking for autographs and pictures when he is out to dinner or out with his family. That stuff is fine at the ballpark but outside these guys just want to be left alone.
What a load of (ahem) crap! Does anything ever come out of Boras' mouth that doesn't stink like the outhouse? Poor Manny. He quits not once but several times on his team and we're supposed to care about where he's comfortable? Good riddance to the ungrateful adolescent. The only thing he deserves to hear is chin music.
He was the one who took more money to leave Cleveland and play in Boston. Why should ANY of us care about him?!? It's a disgrace this bafoon is actually going to get paid. It makes me sick to my stomach.
Boras, tell Manny we don't want him. I'm soooo tired of his complaining.
That explains it ... that's why Manny had trouble running to catch grounders and fly balls ... refused to play and had phantom knee injuries ... he wasn't comfortable living in a penthouse in the BackBay. What a total jerk. Major League Baseball should fine him a year's salary for throwing at bats and dogging it in the outfield and not runnign down the basepath. He definitely cost the Red Sox 5 - 8 games this year and potentially home field advantage and a pennant with his "Batting 4th on strike" antics. If Pete Rose can be banned for life ... than Manny Ramirez should get a fine of at least 1 year's salary.
What a clown. He was certainly comfortable enough to keep cashing in on $20 Mil a year. Hopefully some of this garbage he's spewing now will tamp down the Manny defenders a bit. The guy was a selfish jerk and didn't give a crap about the fanbase. Idiot savant at hitting? Sure. Idiot? Undoubtedly.
I can see why he would not want to live in Boston or the suburbs. People are generally unfriendly, rude and so stressed out they've forgotten how to be nice. I grew up 5 min from boston and left for work and military and can tell you that the midwest is the friendliest followed by out west . Most people from mass don't realize it or don't see it because they have never left. I know this will anger many Bostonians but until you leave this place you would have no idea.
At worse Manny cheated; at best he was totally unethical. All at once the national press is silent about Manny's tactics to shake the Sox's club options.
How can any GM consider offering him any contract with club options as the Dodgers are reported to be considering?
Buyer beware!
I feel you Manny!!! Boston in essence doesn't have that feel "like home".
people here enjoy a speedy death, unlike miami you can enjoy a slow death.
greed change the landscape, the roaches in beacon hill are all in for that . Hell, Romney ran here on a all you can spend platform. Suck it Boston!
Boston is like that obscure mcdonald on some US interestate, people with money just stop by to poop.
Manny needs to cut the crying and the Red Sox should really avoid dealing with Boras. It's too bad that Ellsbury signed him as his agent last season. Jason Bay is a nice subtle left fielder who plays his heart out, give him a contract extension, the fans love him and he loves Boston. I hope Manny goes to play for someone like Lou Pineilla, someone who won't put up with his garbage, if Manny plays longer in L.A. it's obvious that Torre wouldn't take it either, there's just no room for drama queens in baseball. On a side note did anyone else laugh at the notion of 4 years, $52 Million for Varitek? Thank you Boras.
Boras is once again manipulating the media. He's trying to make is seem that Manny wasn't unhappy with the organization or his team mates but with Boston, the city he choose to live in He doesn't want Manny to be seen as quitting on his team. It must have been the stress and pressure of living in the Presidential suite of the Ritz-Carlton and the Boston fans that treated him like a God.
Boras, yes you get your clients fantastic contracts but you're a complete disgrace to baseball.
Scot Boras is the ultimate sport "pimp"...Manny didn't feel "comfortable" in Boston, but felt "comfortable " taking all that money. This guy is a cretin...he has no shame...
What a slap in the face of the Latino community in Boston and Massachusetts. If he wasn't comfortable living at the top of the Ritz Tower he could have moved to any suburb of the city and gotten much more land than just square footage.
Boras is a slimeball, similar to the Wall Street executives who took billions playing the system. Boras rips the city of Boston to get Manny his $90M 4 year deal. Boras spins that it's Boston and Red Sox ownership fault for Manny's bad manners. Makes a potential new owner feel safer about spending $$$ on a very up and down personality. Boras uses player and human greed to be the top in his business
Manny is a jerk. We can live without Manny. Jason bay came through and we should have won game 7. We would have beat the Phils. I have lived in San Diego the past 3 years and I miss Boston if I had 25 Million $ a year I am sure I would have even had a much better time int hat city. Zip you lip Boras and Manny can take a shit for all im concerned.
I doubt Manny knows what he likes.......he "lives" in FL but spent the winter in Ariz...no professinal athlete trainers in FL ???
Boras forgot to say that Manny's wife liked Boston, she was well accepted in the Brazilian community and had many friends.
But really, how long do you live in the city you play in ????
Offseason is 4 months (Oct - Jan) you are home regardless of you who play for.
Spring training 2 months (Feb-Mar) you are basically in the same environment regardless of who you play for
Season is 6 months, but you are on the road 3 months of that regardless of who you play for.
So we are talking about 90 days where you live in the city you play in. You get out late at night when there are not mobs of people out to "crowd" you.....so we are talking of daytime, which according to Manny, he spends working out, nap at home, then back for BP.....again, we're talking about a few hours here and there......so it's the mall mobings and rude people at dinner that's left........if you'r smart you know where to go and when, all VIP's know.......he doesn't manage his personal life and can't understand why he has issues.....most other athletes do....he wants the money but not the other factors that come into play......people are the same everywhere.......
By the way, what is the term you call people who say "Let it go, he's gone, let's move on".......except they seem to read every article on this topic that is clearly marked for topic, I guess they like to read the article but not the comments.....then they should not read the article to begin with.....kind of ironic to me
Who cares. Boras is an idiot and so are the Dodgers I would'nt pay Manny because when he gets bored after he gets paid stand bye. When are owners going to learn don't pay him and see what happens. I see a limited market for Manny and play wait and see. Probably could wait him out and possibly get him for a ton less.
Never comfortable here, yeah right Boras. That might sell in Peoria or LA .... For the money Manny made, he could have built his own latin quarter in Boston and filled it with relatives and friends (at his own expense).
None of us should be surprised by the asinine statements made by Scott Boras. You have to remember that this man has no conscious and has no feelings. He will say whatever he wants whenever he wants and does not care a lick what we or anybody else thinks about him. He actually thrives on that kind of treatment. He feels like if he is not in the middle of a disruption of some sort then he is not being effective. As for Manny, well what can you expect. Just as power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely, the huge amount of money that Manny was paid made him in his little mind think that he was above all forms of responsibility.
Why would we want Manny back anyway???? The way he insulted the city of Boston, all of the Red Sox fans all over the world, his teamates, coaches, management and owners? He only helped the Sox win a couple of titles for money and to secure his ticket to Cooperstown. What a classless individual. Boston should not want him back.
As for Boras, any player that uses him should think twice - Boras' sleezy car salesman image/tactics and how the fans view that player's decisions as a human being.
how bad can it be living at the Ritz condos?
Sure sucks to play in a city where they cheer you wildly and put up with your lunacy.
Sure sucks to play in a city where they cheer you wildly and put up with your lunacy.
Oh, I am so ooo glad he never felt good in Boston. That way we can be sure that he never sets foot in Boston again. Who gives a damn, Manny? You sure felt extremely comfortable taking the 160 million didn't you? For that kind of money you would stay anywhere. Too bad it was in Boston. Adios! If we never see you again it will be too soon.
Here's the deal: Boras is a scumbag. Period. He sleeps well at night only because he's a complete sociopathic piece of shite. As low a human being as you'll ever find on planet Earth. If it were fifty years ago, he'd be manning a post at Buchenwald and telling everyone he was just doing his job.
I honestly could care less what Manny was or is comfortable with. The fans forgave a lot of his narcissistic behavior and appreciated what he did on the field. If he's not professional enough to appreciate that kind of fan support, then he can go to hell, which I am sure he's fine with. But he sure did like the money.
Good luck to whoever gets him to sign on the dotted line. He's going to be 37 years old and I doubt he has many good years left in him.
yeah boras, it was all boston's fault, until you have another client nobody but boston or new york can afford...then all of a sudden boston will be such a great, passionate place to play again...and manny, sorry you may have been bothered with autograph requests and the god treatment from people that actually appreciate what you do for a living...it must suck having to sign your name when you barely know how to spell it...
and fyi, i worked in the sports collectibles business and had the great pleasure of doing business with mr. ramirez...he wouldnt do public autograph signings but had no problem doing private signings from time to time, as long as nobody else was in the room to bother him, including the people paying him to sign...funny how inconsistent those signatures were, maybe it was because he would take the money and let his cousin or friend or whoever else he brought with him sign his name for him...
It's one thing to say he wasn't happy/comfortable with the team but to say he hates the entire region? Good for them I hate Boras and Manny. Also saying Boston is worse than LA or Cleveland ( the armpits of this country) is kinda ridiculous.
The Red Sox paid 7 million to get rid of Manny. Boston isn't an option because the Red Sox don't want him. If the Red Sox were willing to negotiate and offered Manny the longest contract and most money, Manny would be back in a Red Sox uniform shooting his mouth off about how comfortable he's always been in Boston.
And I care about this, why?
Boras is evil.
I am not a fan of nor a backer of Boras. That said, the guy is great at his job. Anyone who could wrangle that massive contract last year for the corpse of Andruw Jones is a miracle worker.
Also, remember that Boras is an agent who works FOR the players, not the other way around. He doesn't do anything without his clients' approval. If it was up to him, Matsuzaka probably wouldn't have signed with the Red Sox. It was Matsuzaka who insisted the deal be done. If he has a client who wants to sign with a certain team and no other, or who'll be willing to settle for a deal that Boras doesn't like, he is OBLIGED to do what the player wants. The player is the boss.
And nobody is holding a gun to the owners' heads either. If they don't want to pay Player X, they don't have to.
i think the sox should sue him for what they had to pay on his contract. if he did not play to his potential here, and it is clear that he was not, then he should not be compensated. the sox may have agreed with LA that they would continue to pay his contract, but that should not preclude them from going after him - he gave so little to this team that he should be held accountable. look at his stats in bos v la and it will be nauseatingly clear. come on sox - take the creep on. boston will love you for it
I love this. I really do. Can I do this at work too? My interview could go something like this:
Interviewer: I see you on your resume that you put down you worked in Cleveland in 2000 and you worked in LA for part of the year just recently. I must say, your numbers are pretty impressive. I wonder though, what did you do in 2001 up to just recently before LA?
Me: Well, I don't like to brag, so let's not talk about it.
Interview: Yes, but that's an extensive part of your working career, wouldn't you say? I mean, shouldn't it matter? You've listed your numbers for that time, which again, are fantastic, but I don't see any references?
Me: Well, you know, I kind of...ahem....you know...I uhhh.....Are you familiar with Three Mile Island? Nuclear power plant, 70's, near meltdown? Ring a bell? Let's just say that was what I did over the last 8 years in Boston.
Interviewer: Oh, so you were in Boston. Well, the numbers were....
Me: Yeah, well, you know, full disclosure and all, and I don't think you need to dwell on it, but, I uh...I kind of loafed from time to time.
Interviewer: Well that's okay, you know we all...
Me: Yeah, but I purposely tanked so I could get transferred to LA...And I sort of purposely didn't do my job one night in NY....And I'm not that good in the field...And I refused to get on the bus for one business trip....And then once I thought I was getting transferred, I had my agent call the president of the company and tell him so long as they didn't pick up my option at the end of the year, I'd cut the bull...
Interviewer: So you blackmailed them?
Me: Yep. Not the worst of it though. I pretended to have an injury for a while. Then I forgot which leg to limp on.
Interviewer: Oh my.
Me: Yeah, I pissed off just about every co-worker I had. Pretty much everyone wanted to throw me under the bus. I asked to be transferred every year, then every year I would say "This is where I want to be forever...." So as you can see, I was never really comfortable. Oh wait, I also urinated during the middle of work. You know, like not in the bathroom.
Interviewer: Yikes.
Me: So I was thinking like, you know, $100 million, 4 years, and I get to work when I want to, play hard when I feel like, wear my clothes the way I want to, and my hair can go any freaking way I please.....OH yeah, and each year I'll be wanting a trade. But not really. And I'll have some phantom injuries.
What do you say?
I lived in the same Ritz Tower as Manny did. He never said hello. Never. I never saw anyone bother him or his wife. These were all highly successful people in their own right that didn't need to talk to Manny Ramirez to make their day. From what I've heard of Manny, if he couldn't hit a baseball, he'd only be qualified to dig ditches. Not a very bright or introspective guy. Good riddance.
Manny is my hero. I heart Manny and Boras. America is a awesome sports place. Manny Manny Manny.
It's funny, how when the question was posed to Boras about Manny living in the Boston 'burbs, Boras came up with some far-fetched rediculous answer, that it was still Boston. The money was still money and he took it. He also agreed to go to Boston in the first place. Boras is not about the team and could care less about anything but money. I'm not even sure if he's about maximizing his client's money but about lining his own pocket. He's also all about the mind-game and (like the Yankees do) making pre-emptive strikes and being pro-active so you can lock up a player and also keep him off your opponent's team. Forrest Gump would say Manny is like a box of chocolates; you never know what you're gonna get.
Now, LA seems the only place for manny to be comfortable to live. The richest NYY , the team manny most beloved to sign due to the most possiblly offers him the high bid, had better give him up due to NYC must be the city much less comfortable than Boston to live!! or, we'd better wish NYY sign manny and wait to listen manny announce he is so sick to live the NYC whole his years as a NYY player and his both knees are unavailable to play any game!!

We care and Manny doesn't and he can't understand that. A real athlete should welcome the attention, the affection, the expectations to succeed and take responsibility when they fail. LA is a good place for him because it's all fake. We appreciate what he did for us the fans on the field, but we no longer have to make excuses for him or defend his actions. We can be ourselves again, the most passionate fans anywhere.
I bet his sorry butt was comfortable cashing the 20M a year checks he received.
who cares about manny ramirez? manny could disappear off the face of the earth for all i care....he's no longer here...good riddance
On behalf of all New Enlgand fans, sorry we rooted for you, sorry we cheered so hard. Sorry we gave a damm, Manny.
Anyone who believes anything Boras' says should be hospitalized. I mean, look at his absurd statements w/ regard to re-signing Varitek. He's trying to sell an overall TEAM winning percentage in the face of embarrassing batting numbers. More importantly, he's trying to sell Theo on the past; not on what Tek can do in '09 and beyond. I hope they go in a completely different direction and leaves Boras searching for Tek suitors. If Martin stays w/ the Dodgers and the Tigers don't jump, seriously; who's gonna give Varitek more than 2 years and $10 million? There's virtually no market when a team can be SOOO much better served by playing a young guy and letting him gain experience. In two years, the young guy will be no doubt be improved and the catching position settled....while Varitek will be 39.
As for Ramirez, I wouldn't give Manny $50.00 to play in Boston next year. The RS won more with Manny gone and Bay in the lineup last season anyway. I guarantee that's one of the "stats" Boras won't be running with this offseason.
Oh brother !!!!...just another example of how a greedy , self serving agent like Boras is so out of touch with the current plight of Americans. So many people are struggling just to make ends meet and he thinks the average person who follows baseball actually cares about Manny's comfort level. Glad there are people like Mike Lowell, Jason Bay, Keith Youlilis, etc, because they are the type of players who are easy to root for. Not this Manny butthole.
Bad move. Better to blame the organization than the people of Boston. It's particularly egregious that Boras doesn't give examples as to why the people of Boston made him uncomfortable.
An athlete who shoves 60+-years-old traveling secretary to the ground - because of an impossible request - doesn't deserve a lot of consideration or sympathy. I guess it was Boston that released Manny's inner selfish, childish thug. Yeah, we're to blame for that, too. What a shame. A bust in Cooperstown? Yes. A bust as a human being? You betha. Waht a role model...NOT!
You people sound like complete and utter jackasses. If this is an example of all the "intellect" in Boston that city is in deep doodoo. You all act like your best friend abandoned you for someone new and are bitter and hateful because of it. This is a business. We all may love our baseball team but if you really think any professional athlete loves you back you a very nieve. I have heard Terry Francona complain about the fans never leaving him alone too. Do you now all hate him? As a matter of fact I saw Boston play in Tampa and the Red Sox moved hotels because the fans were "pestering" them and NONE of them liked it. Grow up!
Oh, so it's BOSTON he hates. Not the organization, not his teammates, but the city. Someone explain to me why I should feel good about this. And then explain to me why New York, Boras' next market for this guy, is more like Cleveland or LA than Boston, baseball-climate-wise....
Funny how the Manny sycophants haven't showed up for THIS particular load-o-crap. Hard to spin this one your way, eh boyos?
MJ - in all seriousness, thank you very much for weighing in with your experience of living in the same building as Manny. You're confirming what many of us suspected: he was always comfortable here, he lived in an ivory tower (so let's not kid ourselves thinking the Latin contingent in a given city has ANYTHING to do with Manny's happiness or that of his family), he was given so much leeway by the ownership who put up with so much of his crap over the years (two ownership groups, actually), and is simply a child. He's that guy you grow up with that just doesn't get it, is all about himself and can't see why he should do anything that inconviences him in the slightest - like, I don't know, showing up for work? He's one of the worst humanity has to offer in that regard.
That said, he's one of the best bats we've ever had here so we should all be able to look fondly back on the two WS titles we won, of which he was a big part. You can't deny his contribution at the plate. He's just a pro athlete, but obviously he thinks he's God as some of them do, and takes himself way too seriously.
I say good riddance; the world needs less people like him, unless he wants to do as MJ suggests and pick up a shovel to dig a ditch.
No more stories on Manny. He is gone, so forget him...now! By the way if Boras ,
who has Rex Soxes clients, refuse to bargin with him, trade them now! To hell with the players association and their monetary request. The fans pay their salary!
If the players don't like it go play in Mexico, DR or Japan and don't let the door hit you on the way out!!!!
Ok, I get it, he did not like Boston. What does that have to do with anything? You take $20mil to do something, you do it... plain and simple. And if you want out of your agreement you take the blow, not the team. That is simple ethics. If Manny said to Theo "Hey you know what, I really want to be out of here. I know I signed the contract, and its on my shoulders, so I'll forgoe my salary for the remainder of the year." then maybe you could almost smile about this. But as it stands this piece of trash wants to neg on his agreement and get paid. It's simple unethical crap. And when he does not get his way he acts like a baby. F you Manny. F you. I'm so tired of hearing about this. Canyou guys please stop writing stories about this?
Hey Manny, want a little cheese with your whine?
Manny could have been a folk hero here. All he had to do was play hard for two more months. The Sox weren't likely to pick up his option and he'd have been a free agent. Two months Manny, at $3 million per month. Was that a lot to ask? Yep, you could have been a folk hero right up there with Teddy Ballgame, Bobby Orr, Bill Russell, Yaz and others. Instead you sorry, greedy son of a beach, you'll be remembered for your blunders and be treated like Bill Buckner was for so many years. The difference? Bill Buckner was giving 100 percent and didn't deserve what he got, you will deserve every bit of it.
This is laughable. From which end of Boras did these comments come? A rich arrogant ass discussing his rich arrogant buffoon. Thank you, Jason Bay, for being a real man.
HEY YOU BOSTON FOOLS, MOVE ON;;;;;;;;;;
H E IS NOT COMING BACK.....
JUST BE GREATFUL HE WON YOU YOUR FIRST RING IN 700 BILLION YEARS..
Well, take it from some one who knew the REAL situation ---- Manny was uncomfortable in Boston because he got caught by his wife doinking another broad - and that folks IS THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH......it had nothing to do with Boston or the fans - it had EVERYTHING to do with Manny not being able to keep it in his pants and he got caught - SIMPLE AS THAT FOLKS...
Scott Boras is a selfish piece of s$$$. He is the one who convinced Manny to want out of Boston. Scott Boras should be banned from Baseball. And here's something that maybe you don't know, when Manny came here it was Manny, not his agent at the time who negotiated the X-Tra 2 years...Hmmm And let's also be candid, Boras, show me the money, that's all its about with you. Boras does not have the players best interest at heart, I don't know why anyone would use him.
I heard its because he couldn't find any good Sancocho here. All he had to do was go over to JP. This guy is a fruitcake.....who cares? Wherever he ends up, he will be unhappy after the first year and want to quit playing. This guy is a perfect example of bi-polar disorder.
Mister Snitch,
Please refer to my previous comment. You are all jackasses. Get over yourselves. Did Manny hurt your feelings little boy?
I just read on another website how manny was paid under the table to leave boston...... any truth to that, if so, thats an all time low for any baseball player, and its wrong that the red sox were put through something like that, they could still have manny, and probably would have won the world series in 08
