Mills interviews for Mariners job

Posted by Nick Cafardo, Globe Staff November 10, 2008 03:14 PM

Sox bench coach Brad Mills is interviewing for the Seattle Mariners managing job today.

Sox third base coach DeMarlo Hale is also one of seven finalists who will get an interview.

Interesting that Sox pitching coach John Farrell, who was expected to get interviewed is not on the list which includes Chip Hale, Randy Ready, Jose Oquendo, Joey Cora and Don Wakamatsu.

  1. Good! I am legitimately a bit nervous about the prospect of Farrel going elsewhere. It's hard to argue against the things that he's done for the pitching staff up here.

  1. I say Farrell will replace Francona in a couple of years.

  1. If Brad Mills does get the job, what are the chances that Alex Cora gets the job offer to replace him and we have to find a back up infielder.
