FORT MYERS, Fla. -- We've mentioned before that all the days sorta feel the same around the Red Sox player development center, but this morning felt particularly like a Sunday. There was a very relaxed atmosphere in the clubhouse where Jeff Bailey and Nick Green filled out crossword puzzles and Chip Ambres leafed through the local paper as the Sox prepared for their final workout at the player development complex.

Workers were starting the process of loading up boxes as the scene will shift later today to City of Palms Park -- the team's spring training stadium -- just two and a half miles up Edison Avenue.

Terry Francona mentioned yesterday that today could be a slightly abbreviated session as the team prepares for its first games of the spring tomorrow. The skipper said the Sox would go over signs before going on the field with a focus on being ready for game action.

Back with more throughout the day.
