FORT MYERS, Fla. -- With workouts officially underway with today's first pitcher/catcher session at the Red Sox Player Development Complex, we'll be checking in with periodic video of what you're missing (though, if today's glimpse is any indication, it won't always be the most exciting stuff -- hey, it's Spring Training). So slip on some flip-flops and slather on the sun tan lotion as we bring you a little closer to Fort Myers.

Catching on

The six catchers in the Sox camp run through some basic drills.

Target practice

Terry Francona smashes some line drives at Clay Buchholz and the pitchers as part of fielding drills.

Smoltz signs

Red Sox newcomer John Smoltz signs autographs for fans in attendance (including the overzealous).
