Minor league box scores

Connecticut 6, PORTLAND 2
Bubba Bell went 2 for 4 with a home run and an RBI. Josh Reddick went 1 for 4 with a double and a run. Starter Jarod Plummer allowed six runs in four innings on nine hits. Chris Provine pitched two innings of scoreless relief. T.J. Large pitched one inning without allowing a run, extending his scoreless innings streak to 5 2/3 innings.

SALEM 6, Myrtle Beach 1
Kristopher Negron went 3 for 4 with two home runs, four RBI, and two runs. Michael Jones went 2 for 4. Seth Garrison allowed one run on four hits while striking out six in six innings. Jason Rice and Jason Blackey combined for three innings of hitless relief.

GREENVILLE 2, Kannapolis 1
Ryan Dent scored the game-winning run in the eighth after he walked, stole second, and came around on Anthony Rizzo's RBI single. David Mailman went 1 for 4 with a double and an RBI. Starter Yeiper Castillo allowed no runs on two hits in four innings. Felix Ventura pitched 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief for the save.

Pawtucket was off yesterday and plays Lehigh Valley today.
