Minor league box scores

PAWTUCKET 1, Rochester 0
Kris Johnson, Chris George, and Fernando Cabrera combined for a four-hit shuout. Johnson allowed two hits and two walks in five innings while strikout three. Johnson has not allowed in 10 innings this year, and opposing batters are hitting .114 against him. Carlos Maldonado went 1 for 3 with a double and an RBI.

Binghamton 4, PORTLAND 3
The Sea Dogs struck out 14 times. Argenis Diaz went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI. Lars Anderson went 2 for 4 with doubles. Anderson, regarded as the top position player in the Red Sox system, is batting .242 with a .286 on-base percentage and a .333 slugging percentage.

Potomac 8, SALEM 2 Game 1
Jason Place went 3 for 4 with two RBI and a double and a stolen base. Ryan Kalish went 0 for 2 with two walks and a steal. Eammon Portice struck out seven in five innings, allowing four runs on five hits and two walks. Luis Exposito went 1 for 3 and threw out the only runner who tried to steal on him.

Potomac 5, SALEM 1 Game 2
Starter Derrick Loop did not allow a hit in four innings. He allowed two walks and struck out three. Luis Segovia went 1 for 4 with a triple and an RBI. Josh Papelbon, Jonathan's brother, allowed four runs on three hits and a walk in two innings.

GREENVILLE 4, Hickory 3
Starter Bryan Price threw five shuout innings, allowing two hits and two walks while striking out four. David Mailman went 1 for 4 with a triple, two runs, and an RBI. Oscar Tejada went 1 for 3 with a double and two RBI. Mitch Dening went 2 for 3 with two doubles. Tim Federowicz went 2 for 4 with a double and a run.

  1. How about some NH Fishercat scores? Although they are not affiliated with the Red Sox, the games are attended by Sox fans in huge droves. They have better attendance than all of the scores you give. Lots of NH and MA fans attend the games. It would be of great benefit to New England baseball fans if you included their scores as well!

  1. Is there an update on how Matsuzaka made out with the MRI and the doctor. Just hoping it is just fatigue and nothing serious.
