Every player on the 2009 Red Sox roster took the field after walking through the aisles between grandstand sections 15 to 25 today. This video shows Julio Lugo, Brad Penny, Kevin Youkilis, Dustin Pedroia, Jason Bay, Jed Lowrie, and Chris Carter at the top of the steps prior to being introduced.

According to the Red Sox, this symbolic gesture was made by the players to thank the fans personally for their passion, dedication, and unwavering support.

  1. That's the greatest idea for fan appreciation I've seen in a long time. Way to go Sox!

  1. You think the players noted how bad the view is from the back end of the grandstand?

Nice gesture. The Phillies entered through the stands, too.
