Lugo's injury
SEATTLE -- It should be minor, but Julio Lugo came out of tonight's game in the middle of the seventh inning with a hip flexor/groin issue. He was replaced by Gil Velazquez.
"When he first came up to me, he thought it was his groin," manager Terry Francona said. "I think it's more of a hip flexor. I'm not sure I know what the difference is. I don't think it's anything, but he came up to me and he goes, 'I know we're short, but this is grabbing at me a little bit.' We brought him up and got some ice on him. We'll re-evaluate him in the morning, but with a day off the next day we'll probably try to stay away tomorrow."

Any reason why Nick Green didn't come in instead?
Tito had to make it (decision to go with Vasquez over Chris Carter for that valuable roster spot) look good. I fear Sunday's horrid lineup. Rocco make Papi look like Ted Williams!
I think it was his error gland acting up again.
