Ortiz scratched
David Ortiz will not play tonight because of a stiff neck. Here's the Red Sox updated lineup:
1. Julio Lugo, DH
2. Dustin Pedroia, 2B
3. Jason Bay, LF
4. Mike Lowell, 3B
5. Rocco Baldelli, CF
6. J.D. Drew, RF
7. Jeff Bailey, 1B
8. Nick Green, SS
9. George Kottaras, C

Man that'ss an ugly lineup
Wow, that has to be the worst lineup I've seen in a long time. Tito will be snarfing down the dubble bubble tonight!
I smell DL stint. Road trip rapidly approaching.
Lugo is the DH? Nuts. Shoulda kept Van Every for first base, assuming he's OK. Let Buckner Bailey DH.
Agreed with all of the above! Is this a bad flashback to spring training? What a day for Papi to take off....
2-6 should cope, but there's a whopping black hole from 7 right back around to 1....we had better score when the decent 1/2 lineup is up!
its like a spring training lineup
I'd rather see Pedroia on top and Lugo on bottom to have the plate patience there, Lugo can do the job but he's been rusty, he has a lot of pressure batting leadoff so soon after being called 'rusty' and 'ineffective'.
pawtuckets lineup is better.
Wow, of all the players available to DH, Lugo would be my last choice. I'd let Wake bat before Lugo.
They need to DL someone and bring up an effective bat or two for sure.
Judging by the score in the 6th it's not as bad as expected! Oh, ye of little faith! :)
Well, I bet the first 3 comments here feel pretty stupid now, considering the "worst lineup" wiped the field with the Indians.
Underestimate thee not the futility of Indians pitching. Trot out that lineup tonight against James Shields and the Rays, and reality will set in real quick.
