Smoltz's latest
John Smoltz pitched five innings today with Low-A Greenville against Charleston. He allowed one run on four hits, walking none and striking out six. He threw 73 pitches, 52 of them strikes. The outing was Smoltz's most aggressive rehab start yet. Smoltz plans on making two more rehab starts, both with Triple A Pawtucket, before making his Red Sox debut in mid-June.
