PHILADELPHIA - The Red Sox took a 5-0 lead after batting around the order in the first inning here, but at 7:34 heavy rain forced the tarp on the field after Daisuke Matsuzaka had retired the side in the bottom of the first.

  1. Why the heck did they even bother to start the game? From the radar it looked like the rain had been fixing to come in hard no matter what...they should have delayed the start. Now both pitchers are probably burned.
