Red Sox-Phillies: Updates
(8:04, rain delay, 5-0 Boston)
Still raining steadily here. It appears the front should pass through and the game should be resumed within the next hour. The Sox certainly got off to a great start against Antonio Bastardo, who was nervous enough, but the Phillies weren't exactly playing top defense behind him. Jacoby Ellsbury scored the first Sox run after he walked, stole second, moved to third on catcher Carlos Ruiz' throwing error and scored when Ryan Howard couldn't handle Bastardo's pickoff throw. With Kevin Youkilis on first after he'd walked. Jason Bay clocked his 17th home run making it 3-0. The good times continued with Mike Lowell's double and a walk to Rocco Baldelli. Julio Lugo singled to center and the ball skipped passed Victorino, usually an excellent fielder, allowing both runners to score. Daisuke Matsuzaka popped out to first base ending the inning for Bastardo, a lefty, who entered the game with a 2-0 mark and a 2.45 ERA.

Any word on when they start back up? I live near the art museum, which is about 3 miles away and it hasn't been raining for about 40 minutes.
Sox look good and getting the breaks (good teams do).
Does this technically end Papi's hitting streak because he had an AB?
