It's good that Papi is swinging the bat really well now because that allows Tito to give Lowell and Youk a rest. I've been thinking that Youk's needed a day off for a couple weeks now. He's been looking really fried up there.
oooh cleanup... cool. big papi owns!!!
I too have been thinking Youk needed a day off as he looks like he was pressing. I was even kind of wondering if not for the support Smoltz needs tonight it might have been, Green at 3B, Lugo at SS, Pedroia at 2B and Papi at first, and Kotsay in the right field and Baldelli in centerfield. Especially since Varitek is actually the only important cog for Smotlz tonight.
What's the big deal. Let Smoltz go 5 innings and see what he got.
