  1. Why wouldn't Tito drop Ellsbury one more slot to 9th so you might have him on base for Drew, who has power but is holding the top of the order since Ellsbury apparently can't take the pressure?

  1. Seems a more productive batter order would be:
Youk, Pedroia, Drew, Bay, Ortiz, Lowell, Tex, Green, Ellsbury

Why does Francona feel he has to be Mr Nice guy with the batting order? Youk has been the best lead off hitter we've here seen since Damon, and Drew EXCELS in the #3 spot. Bay & Ortiz may be ibnterchangeable - depending on whose hot - and Elsbury seems to thrive in the #9 spot. Have some Cahonas Francona.

  1. Ellsbury should be in the 7 hole so he can open up a hole on the right side for Tek if he's on his weaker side of the bat. Only Tito puts a .300 hitter behind a .225 hitter??! Makes no sense to potentially clog the bases in front of your fastest guy with a cather?? Either that or the 9 hole for the same reason (Drew). Batting him behind Tek is just a veterans thing....ridiculous. Lowell walks into the 6 hole in his first game back???? If healthy, then ok, but if he's hobblin' down the line then its a mistake...again, cloggin the paths in front of Ellsbury.

  1. Hey Von, who's gonna catch in that lineup you created? Pedroia? Or is "Tex" supposed to be Tek?

  1. Keep Bucholtz up in the bigs regardless of what happens tonight - he deserves it now, finally. He's filthy. If you have been watching, you know. Also good to see Ortiz cleaning it up again. GO SOX

  1. Good to see you back Mike and Clay!! I'd like to see Von's lineup get a shot, and I like that Francona rhymes Cahonas.

  1. Nothing against Lowell, but after being out so long how come he doesn't get sent out for some rehab at-bats? Everybody else does.
