PAWTUCKET vs. New Britain, PPD

PORTLAND 9, New Hampshire 3
Leftfielder Ryan Kalish went 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, two runs, and two RBI. Third baseman Jorge Jimenez went 3 for 5 with a home run and two runs and two RBI. Shortstop Argenis Diaz went 2 for 4 with two RBI. Centerfielder Josh Reddick went 2 for 6 with a triple, two runs, and an RBI. Starter Blake Maxwell allowed one run on four hits and no walks in five innings.

SALEM 6, Myrtle Beach 4
Catcher Luis Exposito went 3 for 4 with a double, a run, and three RBI. Centerfielder Che-Hsuan Lin went 3 for 5 with a double and three runs. Starter Eammon Portice allowed four runs on seven hits and three walks in five innings.

Savannah 4, GREENVILLE 2
Second baseman Zach Gentile went 3 for 4 with a run. Catcher Tyler Weeden went 1 for 1 with a solo home run. Catcher Ryan Lavarnway went 2 for 2 with an RBI. Third baseman Will Middlebrooks went 2 for 3 with a double and a walk. Starter Stephen Fife allowed three runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out seven in 5 1/3 innings.

Staten Island 7, LOWELL 3
Rightfielder Shannon Wilkerson went 2 for 4 with a double, a triple, a run, and an RBI. First baseman Christopher McGuiness went 2 for 4 with a walk and an RBI. Third baseman Thomas Di Benedetto went 3 for 4.

  1. Pawsox are playing Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, not New Britain. New Britain is a AA team, not AAA.

  1. Roman Mendez is definitely a Vida Blue type. He's very young & green, but could rise fast.
