  1. Kelly's final time on the mound in '09 will be Sunday at the All-Stars Futures Game. It's incredibly stupid of the Sox to let this kids golden arm play shortstop to finish out this year.

  1. Carter seems to be making the Minor League Box Score page everyday. It sure seems like he's outgrown AAA.

@ Ryan - While it sure seems Kelly's future is on the mound, he was only drafted last year and he's on an innings limit. And with the organization's glut of starting pitchers and the black hole that the SS position has been as of late, seeing what he can do at SS doesn't seem so stupid.

  1. Adam, can you enlighten us on why the Sox brought up such an overmatched Bates when they were other options?

  1. The yanks are always a potential landing spot for any A+ free agent. Why do we need to panic everytime this happens? Let the yanks buy/trade for who they want, I prefer we dont run our team based on what the Yankees do or do not do.

  1. Of course I'm worried about Halliday becoming a Yankee but not quite as much as I was worried about Teixiera becoming a Yankee. What about that as a "balance of Power" shift?Yes,I would get Halliday but I'd only use 'old guys' and money to get him..I wouldn't "trade the farm".I still remember The Sox trading two "prospects" for a sure thing pitche, the powerhouse pitcher Danny Darwin.Remember all of those WS appearances Darwin pitched us into and Houston only got two Hall of Famers in return.No..The deal was to get Tiexiera.Theo blew it.He knows it now get Halliday or watch The Yankees go to the next 5 or 6 straight World Series.
