Tarp off

Posted by Amalie Benjamin, Globe Staff July 8, 2009 05:45 PM

The tarp is being rolled up at the moment. It stopped raining about a half hour or so ago.

Looks like we might be OK for the start of the game. (Note: This, of course, is subject to the unpredictability of New England weather. There is, after all, a tornado watch for tonight.)

  1. Amalie,
My guess is that it's a Tornado Watch, although even that doesn't show up on The Weather Channel website for Boston. Watches means conditions could be right for the formation of a tornado--a warning means one has been sighted in the area, either visually or on radar. Warnings are usually of short duration, as well.
