Weather update . . .

. . . which will apparently be a daily feature this summer.

But with a tornado warning in the Worcester area as well as reports of possible hail later today, the weather update for tonight's game between the Red Sox and Oakland A's is a worthwhile one. So here you go:

The current weather forecast in the vicinity of Fenway Park calls for the possibility of scattered light rain showers to move through the area during the late afternoon and early evening hours.

According to weather.com, there is an 80-percent chance of precipitation from 7 to 8 p.m. More showers are expected after 8 p.m., though the likelihood of rain drops to 35 percent at 9 p.m.

The Fenway Park gates will open at the regularly scheduled time of 5:10 p.m. for the 7:10 p.m. start.
