Welcome, Dylan Pedroia
Some happy news to report: Dustin Pedroia made it to the hospital in Boston in time to see his wife, Kelli, give birth to a healthy, 7-pound, 20 1/2-inch long baby boy. The Pedroias named their first child Dylan.
"It's good," Kevin Youkilis said. "I think it's great for him after everything she's been through, Dustin's been through mentally. It's going to be a great thing for Dustin."
Also, pitching coach John Farrell is home in Cleveland attending to a family issue. For tonight, bullpen coach Gary Tuck will serve as pitching coach.
