Follow the prospects this winter

Posted by Peter Abraham, Globe Staff November 13, 2009 05:55 PM

It looks like a cold, winter-is-coming sort of weekend.

This might cheer up your baseball heart a bit. Jose Iglesias was 2 for 4 with a double in the Arizona Fall League on Thursday. He's the 19-year-old Cuban shortstop the Sox signed over the summer.

A defensive whiz, Iglesias is hitting .286/.344/.446 through 15 games in Arizona with two homers and 11 RBI. He has looked better with the bat than was anticipated.

If you want to follow the Red Sox prospects in various winter leagues, bookmark this MLB.com page that has them all.
