Imagine yourself a weary traveler stranded in Chicago for the night and you drag yourself to the lobby of the O'Hare Airport Hilton, eager for a respite.

This is the scene you would come across right now, about 25 journalists surrounding Scott Boras asking where Matt Holliday and Johnny Damon will be next season and what Jason Varitek is up to.

Our man Nick Cafardo has a ringside seat and we'll get a full report later on.

A man towing a suitcase approached the fringe of the mob and asked me who that was in the middle. "Ah, baseball," he said after getting the answer. "Tell him the Cubs need help."

Trust me, sir, he knows.
