Sox announce schedule changes

When ESPN2 picked up the first game of the season and moved it to Sunday night on April 4, it forced MLB to tweak the schedule. Otherwise the Red Sox and Yankees would have had two straight days off.

Here is the new schedule for the first series of the season:

Game 1: Sunday, April 4 at 8 p.m.

Game 2: Tuesday, April 6 at 7:10 p.m.

Game 3: Wednesday, April 7, 7:10 p.m.

The Sox are now off on April 8 and start a road trip the next day in Kansas City.
