Green signs with Dodgers
Nick Green, Boston's utilityman and sometime starting shortstop last season, has signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers.
Green is coming off minor back surgery and may be a couple of weeks behind once spring training starts. But Green has a good chance of sticking with the major league team as their backup shortstop.
He's a longtime favorite of Joe Torre, who had Green in New York. Boston also offered Green a minor league deal.
