FORT MYERS, Fla. -- On a postcard-perfect day for golf, Red Sox players hit the links for the 17th annual Southwest Florida Children’s Hospital celebrity tournament at the Forest Country Club in Fort Myers. The tourney, which was set up as a scramble, raises awareness and funds to support the hospital.

Red Sox players were joined by manager Terry Francona, front office staff, Hall of Famer Jim Rice, baseball legend Luis Tiant, as well as NESN personalities Tom Caron and Heidi Watney.

In the video above, we caught up with Francona, Rice, Watney, Josh Beckett, John Lackey, and minor league lefthander Dustin Richardson as they teed off for a great cause today.

Update: Just ran into the guys who were part of the winning group with John Smoltz in last year's tourney. This year, they had Jonathan Papelbon as their celebrity golfer... and they said their team won the tourney again. But now we're getting word from our golf insiders that Matsuzaka's team won... And the official word is in. Dice-K's team wins with the low score.
