Hello from Fort Myers
It was 67 when I landed in Fort Myers. That was the good news. The bad news was that it was pouring.
But I was able to find the house and now it's time to unpack and get settled in.
I did stumble across these large white birds out near the driveway. Given my scant knowledge of Florida wildlife, I think they're egrets or some sort of pelican. They didn't attack, which was good.
Meanwhile, nothing new on the fate of Johnny Damon. The Tigers appears to be engaged in a furious bidding war with themselves unless the White Sox are serious about Damon. The Braves, according to several reports, don't have the money to spend.
