Daisuke Matsuzaka has decided the truth will set him free. He is going to be upfront with the Sox about how he is feeling and has already proven it this spring. Amalie Benjamin has the story.

Victor Martinez is eager to get to started with his first spring training with the Sox. This notebook also has an update on Jeremy Hermida, an honor for Dave Magadan and a smart move by Casey Kelly.

Today may not be particularly action-packed. The pitchers and catchers will undergo physicals and that is a lengthy process. There also will be conditioning drills on the field. But keep checking back for updates throughout the day.
