Francona on the run

As you read this, Terry Francona and John Farrell are in a car hurtling across central Florida trying to get from Kissimmee to Port Charlotte.

The manager and his pitching coach drove from Fort Myers to Kissimmee this morning for the game there then decided they would try and make the second game as well. This is above and beyond the call of duty in spring training and will require good luck with the traffic, state cops and roadkill.

Turns out the Red Sox did not sign Michael Garciaparra. Houston did. MLB.com had it wrong on their transaction list. Garciaparra may be headed to the Astros.
