Notes: This would be the first appearance for Matsuzaka outside of a two-inning stint in a minor-league game. He has been slowed by back and neck pain. ... Wakefield has been impressive this spring. His line for three appearances: 13.2 innings, 14 hits, 5 earned runs, 2 walks, 5 strikeouts, 1 home run. You could have won a lot of bar bets two months ago had you predicted Wakefield would have the most innings on the team on March 25.
