Notes: The Sox have won two straight after losing nine of 10. ... Given that Lester pitched 5.1 innings in his last start and the goal today is six, it'll be interesting to see how they'll get four relievers in the game. ... The Red Sox have their annual meeting with the MLB Players Association reps this morning. Those tend to take 60-90 minute and take away a little time on the field. ... The Sox will be doing team-wide fundamentals before their remaining home games, brushing up on relays, backing up throws, run-downs and the like. This is primarily so that when a mistake is made during the season, the manager can say something along the lines of, "I don't know why that happened. We worked on it in spring training." ... Amusing stat of the spring: Triple-A catcher Mark Wagner leads the team with two triples and both came in the same game.
