FORT MYERS, Fla. — Mike Cameron, who is expected to miss a few days with a sore left groin, just left the batting cages seconds ago.
"I'm good," said Cameron, who gave us two thumbs up after he was asked how he was feeling after a robust batting session. "Living the dream, living the dream ... gotta get ready for FENWAY PAAAARK!"
Cameron is going to be a lot of fun this season if this spring is any indication.
Update 11:17 a.m: Mike Lowell just emerged from the batting cages moments ago after hitting balls from the pitching machine for the first time this spring. I asked him how he felt after the session, and he replied, "Great." Lowell is expected to participate in his first batting practice, weather permitting, tomorrow.
Earlier this morning, righthander Daisuke Matsuzaka threw off the mound. Terry Francona said Matsuzaka took an aggressive approach today, and was feeling strong.
We'll have more on Matsuzaka, Lowell, and other news and notes from Francona's press conference a bit later.
