Terry Francona, John Farrell and the pitcher himself all contend that he is not injured. That his velocity is consistent and within his normal range suggests that is true. Beckett appears only to have a bad case of the stinks.

The good news? He was 15-4, 3.33 over his final 27 starts last season. That clock starts ticking Sunday in Baltimore.
