The National Alliance to End Homelessness today honored former Red So slugger Mo Vaughn for his efforts to find people affordable housing.

This from their press release:

Vaughn followed his athletic career by launching Omni New York LLC a development firm focusing on affordable housing and community partnership. For his commitment to accessible housing and communities, the Alliance will honor him with the John W. Macy Lifetime Achievement Award.

Meanwhile, the MLB Network hired chatty Kevin Millar as a studio analyst. He debuts April 27. A member of the 2004 Idiots, Millar tried to make the Cubs this season and was cut in spring training.

It has to be only a matter of time before Doug Mientkiewicz joins MLB. He and Millar could fills hours of air time.
