For those of you interested in the prospects, Casey Kelly will make his first start of the season for Double-A Portland tonight in New Britain, Conn.

The game is at 6:35 and you can follow his progress on minorleaguebaseball.com if you want.

UPDATE, 9:00 p.m.: Kelly went two innings, allowing one unearned run on three hits. He struck out two and walked one.

You might be wondering why he threw two innings. Well, Kelly threw a total of 95 innings last season and he's 20 years old. The Red Sox are likely to limit him to roughly 130 innings this season and there's no sense in reaching that limit in July. So he'll be used cautiously.
